Domenico Savio
Marching Band Domenico Savio (MBDS) is one of the extracurricular activities of SMP PL Domenico Savio Semarang (one of the favourite Junior High School at Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia). Initially it was a Drum Band because the instruments were not completed yet. In 1985 Yayasan Pangudi Luhur officially called it as Marching Band and started to complete the instruments and equipments.
Since then, Marching Band Domenico Savio had gained significants achievements both in provincial and national levels. MBDS had been invited several times to perform at Indonesian independence commemoration at Istana Negara, Jakarta. In 2015, after several years of no activities, School administrator along with its alumn were able to revive the unit of Marching Band and scored some proud achievements.
